Tenter Infeed systems for textiles ELFEED

The efficiency of a tenter system depends on the efficiency of the tenter infeed as this is the point where web must be reliably picked up at its edges by the pins or clips of the transport chain. As the web position changes constantly the position of the tenter infeed elements must also change constantly.

The edges of knit material must be compley uncurled in order to minimize the waste caused by edge trimming.

Single SidedFor single-sided double sheet control three different systems are available: the low cost system with sensors based on permanent magnets, the system with electromagnets for steel only and a system with a combination sensor for ferrous and non-ferrous materials.

I100Noncontact dual head double sheet detection systems for ferrous and nonferrous materials. Steel .01 to 4.00 mm sheet thickness and nonferrous materials .01 to 12.00 mm. However, most applications are in the metal packaging industry with thicknesses at the lower end.

I20Noncontact dual head double sheet detection for ferrous and nonferrous materials; three exchangeable pairs of sensors for steel from .01 to 8.00 mm and nonferrous materials from .01 to 15.00 mm depending on type of material.

SND40The SND40 system combines the strengths of analog sensor technology with high-powered digital signal analysis. A wide range of sensors can be connected to the SND40 system based on leaking flux or eddy current technologies or a combination of both.

SND30The SND 30 is a tried and proven weld seam detection system for tubes with an application history of over 10 years. The system is suitable for steel and magnetic stainless steel for diameters 10 to 250 mm and wall thicknesses up to approximay 4,00 mm.

SND40The SND40 in conjunction with the weld seam sensors NS9SC is a special system for the butt weld detection in magnetic and nonmagnetic steel coils.

NS9SCThis sensor was specifically developed for the detection of butt welds in magnetic and non-magnetic steel coils.

MDM60Single sided thickness measurement of coils and blanks of ferrous materials. Continuous or interval measurement 5 interchangeable linearized sensors for thicknesses of 0.05 to 3.50 mm

Dual head systems

IDM60Non-contact dual head sensor system for thickness measurement of all non-ferrous materials; especially well suited for non-magnetic stainless steel (Austenit). Measuring range from .005 to 15.00 mm (.0002 - .600in.) sheet thickness depending on the type of material.

 

Wires and Cable IndustryThe eddy current testing systems are used for defect detection in metallic semi-finished products such as wires, rods, tubes, small strips and cables.

UFD40The UFD40 is best suited for the detection of defects, butt welds and mechanical connections in wires, tubes and cables. It was developed for nondestructive testing in continuous production processes.

Tire IndustryMagnetic inductive systems have been especially developed for steel cord inspection in the steel belted radial tire industry to detect so-called spacing faults during the cutting and splicing operation of the web material.

During the automatic filling of tablet packages with blister strips in the cartoner -- aluminum blisters, alu-alu blisters -- packages can be overfilled or underfilled. Content verification is therefore absoluy necessary. In comparison to the traditional use of checkweighers, the Roland blister comparator I10 KV is based on the inertia free high speed eddy current measurement principle and requires only approximay 100 mm space in the transportation belt.

Hot test[ Cold test ][ Performance test ][ Leak test ]
 

Each engine is tested for proper performance and leaks before being installed into a vehicle. The conventional test method is
the hot test, in which the engines run with their own power until a specified engine oil temperature has been reached. This
warm up procedure is performed either without applying load to the engine or with load, while all critical engine data are measured, monitored and documented, such as

  • Rpm and torque
  • Oil pressure and oil temperature
  • Coolant temperature and coolant flow
  • Constant Rpm, ignition, injection, timing, blow by, exhaust gas emission, etc.

Upon completion of the warm up phase, a short performance test may be performed. Then the operator checks the engine for abnormal noises and leaks.

Engines are randomly subjected to an extended performance (audit) test. The installation conditions for the engine in the audit test stand are reproduced like those in the vehicle (engine mounting, original exhaust system). The fuel and the intake air are conditioned to simulate various operating conditions.

JWF audit test stands are equipped with an extensive array of measuring technology, which includes exhaust gas analysis,
fuel and oil consumption, blow by, ect.

The engines being tested are generally rigged and derigged outside the test stand on a trolley or are loaded onto the test
stand by using a lifting gear.

We have developed a special Windows NT based test software for the final testing of engines and transmissions. This software is highly flexible and user friendly in adapting to specific customer requirements. The JWF test software essentially consists of:

  • the configuration software for parameter setting of the test sequence and the measuring channels and for generating reference curves, which are the basis for determining accept and reject criteria
     
  • the measuring software for carrying out the various measurements, for monitoring test stand performance and for calibration of the measuring channels
     
  • The analysis software for analysing the various curves and graphs produced during a test from a database
