要求兩法蘭結合面必須保證其平直度，無飄扭現象。加強板和法蘭應盡量在整塊鋼板上切割而不拼接。法蘭和蓋板上加工有密封圈，在施工中要特別注意保護。密封用3mm厚石棉橡膠墊片，不允許有折裂。安裝人孔蓋板上緊螺栓時，要成對角均與用力，以防孔蓋變形。
